Voters need to bring documents to verify their identity and home address in order to register or receive a ballot, said Elections BC spokesman Don Main.

Those who have registered to vote will have their 'where to vote' card. Others can use the Elections BC "Know Your Electoral District" application online to find the location nearest them, he added.

Elections BC will announce turnout daily, but ballots will be counted after the close of voting at 8 p.m. on May 14.

In 2009, 17 per cent of voters used advanced voting.
