Wynne shuffles cabinet to replace minister with medical issue

An Ontario cabinet minister was rushed to hospital during his mother's funeral on Saturday — prompting Premier Kathleen Wynne to shuffle her cabinet.

Government Services Minister Harinder Takhar resigned his cabinet posts because of medical issues, but will continue to represent his riding of Mississauga-Erindale in the provincial legislature.

On Wednesday afternoon Wynne swore in two minister to take over Takhar's responsibilities.

John Milloy will become Minister of Government Services in addition to his role as Government House Leader.

Finance Minister Charles Sousa will take on the responsibility as Chair of the Management Board of Cabinet.
