Bonney, who was a key player in the party’s plan to woo ethnic voters, resigned in February — just before the NDP leaked the Liberals’ ethnic outreach plan.
The Liberals were forced to reimburse the government $70,000 after it was learned Bonney was spending as much as half of his taxpayer-funded time on work for the Liberal Party.
Earlier this week, the party confirmed Kim Haakstad — Liberal Leader Christy Clark’s former deputy chief of staff — was volunteering on Clark’s campaign in Vancouver–Point Grey.

Haakstad stepped down in March after it was revealed she offered advice and input into the controversial leaked document that outlined the Liberals' plan to use government resources to woo ethnic voters in the upcoming provincial election.
