B.C.'s summer-like weather will be coming to an end on Saturday afternoon as the first in a series of rainmakers slides onto the South Coast, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

Parts of Metro Vancouver may see the sun for a few hours to start the weekend, but mainly overcast skies will be the story Saturday afternoon with showers to begin in the evening.

Showers will pick up to rain overnight Saturday for a good 10 to 20 mm across the Vancouver area. On Sunday temperatures will drop down into the teens, and the unsettled weather pattern is expected to stick around for the beginning of next week.
