Toronto police have identified the man who died during a stabbing in the city's east end on April 30.

Toronto resident Alan Clements, 58, was found dead inside a basement apartment at 1678 Kingston Rd., near Birchmount Road.

Police say there were several people inside the home.

That night, officers took Toronto resident Kalib Dufty, 23, into custody. He was later charged with second-degree murder.

Police said the incident was not a home invasion, and alcohol may have been a factor.
