Spokesperson Don Main says the calls went out the morning of May 14, which is a violation of the Elections Act.
"We did get complaints from the public about receiving automated phone calls from the Conservative Party," said Elections B.C. spokesperson Don Main.
"It is considered election advertising, and the Conservative Party has been contacted by Elections B.C. to stop the calling."
Main says Elections B.C. also had to rap one party and one candidate for tweets in violation of the Elections Act. He would not name the party of the candidate, but says the tweets have been removed.
Meanwhile, some complaints have been made about party leaflets being delivered to people's homes on election day, but Main says that does not contravene the Elections Act.
