BC Election Pollster Jokes (TWEETS)

Twitter Mocks Pollsters

The B.C. NDP may have lost the election, but no one lost more credibility than pollsters who failed to project that outcome.

Pollsters such as Angus Reid, Ipsos Reid and Forum Research consistently put the NDP ahead of the B.C. Liberals right up to election day, only to see them trounced at the ballot box.

Twitter users predictably had some fun at the pollsters' expense.

CBC host Stephen Quinn tweeted a fake poll that named The Santa Clause 3 the best film of all time. He then tweeted another "poll" that said 76 per cent of British Columbians no longer trust polls.

Twitter user Matt Skinner was far less polite, saying that he'd "love to be a pollster or a pundit, but I can't seem to get my head all the way up my ass."

Check out what Twitter users had to say about B.C. pollsters' projections:
