VANCOUVER - Congratulations are flowing in for B.C. Premier Christy Clark and her newly elected Liberal party.

Clark has led the B.C. Liberals to the party's fourth term in office, with an expanded majority, although every pre-election poll predicted a New Democrat victory.

Among the first to offer congratulations was Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who says he looks forward to working with Clark on issues such as jobs, growth and long-term economic prosperity.

Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne and B.C. Conservative MP, and the Minister Responsible for British Columbia, James Moore, have also sent their best wishes.

Alberta Premier Alison Redford issued a statement congratulating the Liberal Party but failing to mention Clark by name.

Redford and Clark have been engaged in a bitter dispute over oil pipeline control and royalties, but Redford's note says she looks forward to renewing discussions about issues affecting both provinces.
