STOCKHOLM - A quick look at the IIHF World Championship quarter-final Thursday between Canada and Sweden.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Canada

Steven Stamkos — Canada's scoring leader dangerous below the faceoff circles.

Dan Hamhuis — Expect the two-way workhorse to be out on the ice whenever his Canucks teamates Henrik and Daniel Sedin are.

Mike Smith — Canada's probable starter held off Sweden's charge to preserve a round-robin win. Will be required to do that again.

Sweden

Jhonas Enroth — Buffalo Sabres goalie boasts incredible lateral movement and gave Canada's shooters fits early in their round-robin game.

Henrik/Daniel Sedin — Can't talk about one without the other. Difficult to contain when they get cycling the puck in the offensive zone.

KEYS TO THE GAME

Canada — Short shifts and aggressive forechecking to keep the Swedes in their own end. Need hard second efforts to score on Enroth.

Sweden — Force Canada's shooters to the outside and exploit superior experience and knowledge of playing on the wide international ice.
