Christine Margaret Wood appeared in provincial court by telephone Saturday and was charged with concealing the body of a child.
Police say the woman disposed of the dead body of her child with the intent to conceal the fact that she had given birth to him.
Police say they were led to Wood through information received over the course of the investigation. She was arrested in Hillsborough on May 17.
The newborn's body was discovered in a snow bank on Taylor Road on April 4, 2009. Riverview RCMP and the RCMP's Major Crime Unit have been investigating to try to determine the identity of the child and the circumstances surrounding his death.
The baby is legally known as Baby Boy Doe but became known as Baby Taylor in the weeks following the discovery of his body based on the name of the road where he was found.
Hundreds of people attended the baby`s funeral and six RCMP officers carried the small casket to the grave. RCMP renewed their effort to identify the baby in March.
Wood was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on Tuesday.
