Instagram may be notorious for filling your feed with photos of food, self portraits and the odd shot of Paulina Gretzky in a bikini, but for travellers, the network with over 100 million users can be a good start to connect with fellow globetrotters.
There may be purists who believe Instagram may never replace a physical camera, but it's tough to argue against the ease of sharing photos when you've got a smartphone in hand. More than that, travellers now have an easy way to find a source of inspiration when planning their next trip. And with a base of 100 million users and counting, there's bound to be plenty of filter-enhanced inspiration lying around.
