You would think that wearing expensive gowns would guarantee comfort but for celebs like Nicole Kidman and Sharon Stone at Cannes 2013, the exact opposite looks to be true.
After seeing Cannes film festival jury member Nicole Kidman sport a black leather dress in the notoriously hot (but chic) city, we wondered if she was sweating buckets.
Then we saw "Basic Instinct" star Sharon Stone carefully navigate her way around a yacht while wearing a plunging red gown with a thigh-high slit. (That dress is so dangerous she should have worn a life vest.)
But neither of those A-Listers could compare to poor Rosario Dawson, who accidentally flashed her undies in front of her co-stars and photographers while walking up stairs at the "Jimmy P.: Psychotherapy of a Plains Indian" premiere last weekend.
Many more celebs teetered and tottered on the red carpet wearing outlandish and precarious outfits. Someone get these women some proper shoes and duct tape, stat!
Tom Cruise's ex may melt in her leather gown. Seriously, who wears a leather dress in the summer?
We're glad Sharon Stone made if off Roberto Cavalli's yacht alive. She should have worn a glittery life vest while trying to walk on a slippery boat wearing stilettos and a gown that looks as if it could fall off her at any second.
Why would you wear a dress that will show off your nether regions when you walk? The actress must be faking that smile.
Sure, the model has the goods, but would you feel comfortable wearing a dress that can barely contain your boobs?
The Lebanese singer and model can't be having much fun sucking in her stomach the whole night.
Only a British socialite would wear a dress that forces her to pose with her arms at an awkward angle.
The dress is cute but we're afraid that the model's boots won't be able to come off, that's how tight they are.
This dress is an illusion. The Indian actress looks comfortable but we bet she will have a hard time going to the toilet.
We can picture the actress kicking her train so she can walk properly.

We're not sure who the French comedian is standing beside, but we think she may have had trouble squeezing into that gown.

Not only was the French actress mistaken for "Girls" star Allison Williams but we feel as if we should warn her about the baton that could hit her face at any moment.
Models can wear anything without complaint but if we were Selita, we would be desperately trying to scratch our backs as carefully as possible so as to not disturb the probably millions of dollars worth of jewels on the dress.
The TV presenter looks as if she's about to be swallowed up by lace and taffeta.
But how did our Mystery Guest ever get into this scary-looking outfit?
We respect the model for wearing such a cool, bionic dress, but unfortunately, she won't be able to sit down.
Mystery Guest strikes again in a honeycomb outfit. At least there are no bees.
