2 men found in lake near Vernon, B.C., ID'd

The B.C. Coroner has released the identities of the two men found dead in Kalamalka Lake, south of Vernon, on Wednesday.

Frederick Marshall, 50, and Albert Castanelli, 47, both of Vernon, were on a camping trip at the time of their deaths. It is not clear exactly how they died.

Police found their bodies along with an overturned aluminum boat after a resident noticed a cooler and a dog in the water.

A search manager said the men had been wearing oversized life-jackets that may have contributed to their deaths.
