VANCOUVER - Police are investigating after a man's body was found inside a burned-out van parked on a street in Vancouver.

UPDATED: May 28 - The victim has been identified as Morgan McDonald, 27, of Vancouver by the B.C. Coroners Service.

Fire crews extinguished the flames at around 6 a.m. Saturday and discovered the body, which has not been positively identified.

Const. Brian Montague says police are working with fire investigators to try and determine the cause of the blaze.

He says an autopsy will be conducted next week so the coroner's office can confirm the man's identity and determine the official cause of death.
