Russell Brand is coming to Calgary.
Just for Laughs has announced the British funny man, and former Mr. Katy Perry, will be in the city on Aug. 23 to perform a stand-up routine at the Jubilee Auditorium.
Brand has become a house-hold name following such films as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him To The Greek and Despicable Me but he cut his comedic teeth as a stand-up comic in the U.K. and later in the U.S.

His Canadian tour also includes dates in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver.
Tickets for the shows range in price from $55.50 to $65.50.
