Aishwarya Rai can rock glamorous gowns and exquisite saris but she can also make casual dressing look chic.

The Bollywood star, fresh off her dazzling display at Cannes 2013, spoke at the Chime for Change: The Sound of Change Live concert over the weekend in London.

Wearing a gold metallic top underneath a fitted blazer and sexy leather leggings paired with sleek black boots, the 39-year-old was the epitome of effortless chic.

Missing in action was Rai's adorable 18-month-old daughter Aaradhya, who followed her glamorous mommy to Cannes in May (although she wasn't allowed to stay up past her bed time on the red carpet).

But at least little Aaradhya's father, Bollywood superstar Abhishek Bachchan, joined his wife backstage for photographs.

It's awesome that Bollywood's power couple united with Hollywood stars such as Beyonce, Blake Lively, Jessica Chastain and Jada Pinkett-Smith for such an amazing cause. Chime for Change is a non-profit which uses crowd-sourcing funds to help empower women and girls through education, health and justice.

Now that's something we can get behind.

More Ash!
