In a poll of 1,000 mothers-to-be and new mothers, 71 per cent felt pressure to look good thanks to pregnant celebrities, according to the Daily Mail.
The poll, conducted by British baby product company Philips AVENT, said four out of five women were concerned about their wardrobe. More worries included their changing physical shapes and stretch marks.
While Kate’s clearly not the only celebrity raising the stakes for women – more celebrity mothers-to-be such as Kim Kardashian have also singled been out for their stunning maternity looks -- her discrete baby bump and chic frocks continue to make headlines as her due date nears.
As the Duchess ups the pressure to look fab, her looks aren’t the only thing that can impact regular mothers. Nearly one-third of the women polled said the royal baby name she and Prince William choose would influence their choice. Kate hasn’t publicly announced her baby's name – or even her child’s gender – but you can bet it will be an inspiration for new mothers.
