WEST VANCOUVER, B.C. - Two more longboarders from West Vancouver, B.C., have been taken to hospital with serious injuries after colliding with a parked truck.

The accident took place Wednesday afternoon in the affluent British Properties and is the third such crash to be reported by police in recent weeks.

Police say preliminary evidence suggests the 21- and 23-year-old men were travelling downhill and swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle before hitting the truck.

They say the approaching vehicle appears to have been proceeding lawfully, and the driver swerved to the road's right shoulder after seeing the longboarders.

The men are now in hospital, although police say they don't know the full extent of their injuries.

Late last month, a 17-year-old longboarder from West Vancouver was taken to hospital with head injuries after colliding with a van.
