Avril Lavigne was back in London on Wednesday night, but it wasn't her python-print dress, or her gladiator sandals, or even her signature black racoon makeup that earned the singer a lot of attention on social media.
Rather, a supposed visible "baby bump" had fans speculating that the pop-star might be pregnant.
The self-proclaimed "Professional Rocker," who is engaged to Nickelback front-man and fellow Canadian Chad Kroeger, held her hands over her tummy while photographers vied for pictures, as she was spotted leaving Nobu restaurant after a satisfying meal (which could alternatively explain the alleged "bump").
One commenter tweeted: "OMFG "AVRIL LOOKS PREGNANT HERE" and linked to one particular photo of the star where her arms were not placed in front of her.
Another fan tweeted more simply, "Is Avril Lavigne Pregnant ? O.o"
This isn't the first time the Napanee native has been plagued with pregnancy rumours. Lavigne's performance at Wango Tango in May, in which she wore a long, black over-sized shirt, similarly sparked an online debate over whether 28-year-old could be expecting.
But despite all the clamour online, Avril seemed excited to be in London, smiling for photographers and tweeting her fans: "Helllloooooo from London-town! So glad to be back at work in the UK, especially during the 60th anniversary of the Queen's coronation!!"
Lavigne is set to perform at the 2013 Much Music Video Awards (MMVAS) on June 16, which will hopefully put those pesky pregnancy rumours to rest. Unless, she pulls a Beyoncé a la VMAS? (We can only hope!)
