TORONTO - Some of the most active companies traded Monday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (12,288.90 up 101.53 points):

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Up 22 cents, or 9.82 per cent, at $2.46 on 11.92 million shares. The gold sector was up 0.27 per cent at 190.87 points.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Plane and train maker. Up two cents, or 0.43 per cent, at $4.70 on 8.55 million shares. The Montreal-based transportation maker signed a new collaboration agreement with Chinese aircraft manufacturer Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd.

Air Canada (TSX:AC.B). Airline. Up nine cents, or 3.63 per cent, at $2.57 on 4.91 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurer. Up 30 cents, or 1.91 per cent, at $16.03 on 3.71 million shares.

Cline Mining Corp. (TSX:CMK). Miner. Unchanged at a penny on 3.67 million shares. The Toronto-based miner appointed Paul Haber as its new CFO and corporate secretary. Cline will delist from the main index on June 21 and is currently exploring financial options.

Toronto Venture Exchange (934.04 up 0.47 point):

West African Iron Ore Corp. (TSXV:WAI). Mineral explorer. Down five cents, or 16.67 per cent, at 2.5 cents on 2.54 million shares.

Octant Energy Corp. (TSXV:OEL). Oil and gas explorer. Down half a cent, or 9.09 per cent, at five cents on 2.14 million shares.

Company reporting major news:

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX:BAM.A). Asset manager. Up 94 cents, or 2.61 per cent, at $36.89 on 700,485 shares. The company is selling its Longview forestry assets in the U.S. Pacific Northwest through deals totalling nearly $3.7 billion.

Valeant (TSX:VRX). Drug company. Up 61 cents, or 0.71 per cent, at $86.30 on 331,022 shares. The Montreal-based company will sell common shares to raise about $1.75 billion to help pay for its US$8.7-billion purchase of eye care company Bausch + Lomb.
