If the Duchess of Cambridge wore blue while shopping for her baby nursery, does that give us a hint to the sex of the royal heir?

That's what we're pondering after Kate Middleton was spotted buying fabric and wallpaper for her and Prince William's Kensington Palace nursery at high-end interiors store Bernard Thorp in London last week. (Click here to see photos of her shopping excursion.)

While Middleton's purchases -- beige and brown fabrics, a dark beige and terracotta herringbone sofa cover -- don't give us a clue as to whether the 31-year-old is having a bouncing boy or girl, her wardrobe might.

Sporting a royal blue empire-waist dress, a purple cardigan and her favourite grey slingback wedges, Duchess Kate looked at ease while preparing for her little one's arrival (Middleton is due in July.)

So does blue mean that Kate is expecting a boy? (Prince Harry seems to think he's going to have a nephew soon!)

Both Kate and William have been keeping mum on the subject but Middleton recently purchased a blue stroller.

Kate's pregnancy wardrobe hasn't entirely favoured one colour over another; the future yummy mummy has worn peach, black and white, green, bright yellow and more peach. That Kate loves her unisex colours!

However, in what could be perceived as a slip-up, the princess wore a baby blue frock in April. (Why no pink, Kate?)

What do you think? Does Kate's wardrobe indicate whether she's having a boy or girl?
