Airdrie School Bus Driver Charged After Crash Sends Two Kids To Hospital

AIRDRIE, Alta. - A school bus driver has been charged in a crash north of Calgary that sent two children to hospital.

RCMP say the bus driver turned left into the path of a welding truck near Airdie on Tuesday morning.

Two kids were taken to Alberta Children's Hospital in Calgary and treated for minor injuries.

The driver, who has not been named, is charged with making an unsafe left turn.

Police say alcohol or speed are not considered a factor.

The bus is operated by First Student Canada.
