Twitter Reacts To Montreal Mayor's Resignation

Montreal Mayor Michael Applebaum quit on Tuesday, a day after being arrested.

He faces 14 charges, including conspiracy and fraud, for events between 2006 and 2011.

Applebaum said it "was the right thing to do," and added that he wants to focus on his defence and family.

Twitter reacted quickly to his resignation, with many referencing Toronto's own mayoral controversies.
