ANTIGONISH, N.S. - St. Francis Xavier University in Nova Scotia has a new chairman of its board of governors.

The university says alumnus Mark Wallace has been elected to immediately succeed former New Brunswick premier Frank McKenna.

Wallace is the president and CEO of Medgate Inc.

He's served on the board for the past six years.

University president Sean Riley says Wallace has played a key role in the expansion of the Coady International Institute.
