Kingston stabbing suspects seen in Ottawa

A man and woman that police suspect in a Kingston nightclub stabbing last week are believed to be in the Ottawa area.

Kingston police said a verbal argument between two men and a woman outside of ‘The Spot’ nightclub in Kingston ended when a 24-year-old Kingston man was stabbed in the leg and face.

Police arrived at the scene at 1:15 a.m. Friday and found the injured man and what they said was a significant amount of blood.

The victim was taken to hospital and had surgery on his leg but has since been released.

A province-wide warrant has been issued for Carl Nagy, 24, and Jessica Matheson, 28, according to Kingston Police Det. Jay Finn.

Both are facing charges of aggravated assault, assault and possession a dangerous weapon.

Finn said the two suspects, both from Alberta, have been seen in the last week in the Almonte, Carleton Place and Ottawa areas.
