'Mad Men' Season 6 Finale: Bob Benson, Megan Draper Actors Stay Silent

No 'Mad Men' Finale Clues From These Two
AMC

Matt Weiner has his actors' mouths glued shut. If you were hoping to get some dirt on what's going to happen in the Season 6 finale of "Mad Men," you're out of luck.

While the rumour mill has speculated that something big is going to happen to the Bob Benson (James Wolk) and/or Megan Draper (Jessica Paré) characters in the finale (which airs at 10 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 23 on AMC), neither actor has been particularly forthcoming when it comes to details.

Paré was recently in Toronto to attend a party for sports charity Right To Play, and when quizzed about her character's fate, she simply quipped, "You'd have to ask Matt."

The internet has also been buzzing about a T-shirt Megan Draper wore in a recent episode of "Mad Men," and how it's the same T-shirt Sharon Tate wore in a magazine spread before she was murdered. But that theory was also quashed when Weiner recently claimed that no one is going to die in the Season 6 finale.

Wolk is just as tight-lipped as Paré. Doing press for his fall show, "The Crazy Ones," he refused to address the swirling rumours. "There have been so many rumours," he said, laughing. "There were the gay rumours [which ended up being true], the spy rumours. I will say nothing. He could be anything. We'll find out. Or will we? I don't know."

If you want to over-analyze, we can probably safely assume that Wolk will be back for Season 7. He's keeping mum because he loves working on "Mad Men." "I wanna keep my job on that show!" he exclaimed. "I value my job on that show." For someone to worry about their job status means they have to have one -- so it's pretty solid to conclude that Bob Benson doesn't die in the final episode of Season 6. Well, at least we know one thing for sure.

The only thing Wolk was willing to talk about were the ... ahem ... revealing shorts he wore on "Mad Men": "I know people really liked those shorts. I'm not a shorts guy in real life, and let me tell you -- those couldn't have gotten any shorter."

The "Mad Men" Season 6 finale airs on AMC on Sunday, June 23 at 10 p.m. ET.
