Police release surveillance footage in Montreal arson case

Montreal police are asking for the public’s help tracking down suspects wanted in connection with two arson incidents earlier this month.

The attacks both targeted Jewish businesses in the Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough.

On June 7, at about 1:30 a.m., a molotov cocktail was thrown at Café Shalom on Queen Mary Road.

Two days later, on the same street, Chops restaurant was the victim of a similar attack.

According to police, surveillance videos showed two male suspects in both incidents, one of them in his 20s.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
