You don't have to be a Canuck to be a fan of Canadian hockey teams (and their jerseys.)

As we celebrate Canada Day 2013, we can't help but notice that many celebrities enjoy channeling their inner Canadian by wearing Canadian jerseys, even if they aren't from the Great White North.

Take Barbados-native Rihanna, who was spotted wearing an Ottawa Senators jersey (and not much else) in April and tweeted a photo of herself wearing the shirt and sexy high heels.

Another hockey lover who decidedly wears more clothes but is no less sexy is "Lord of the Rings" star Viggo Mortensen who shows his love for the Montreal Canadiens every chance he can get from wrapping the flag around actress Kirsten Dunst to sporting the jersey at the Toronto International Film Festival (and making Keira Knightley wear one too.)

And how could we forget "Wayne's World" star Tia Carrere's moment in the spotlight when she wore a custom Toronto Maple Leafs dress with a low-cut neckline and a thigh-high slit at the 2001 NHL Awards?

Clearly, there's something about our jerseys that the celebs just can't resist.
