According to the RCMP, the bear was in the habit of running up to the highway in the province's north when she heard vehicles drive by.
People in the vehicles would stop and feed her.
But on June 14, she was killed when she ran out and was hit by a vehicle.
The cubs were later put down under the authority of the Ministry of Environment for humane reasons, as they were too young to survive on their own, RCMP spokesman Sgt. Paul Dawson said.
It's another reminder that people should not feed wild animals, Dawson said.
