Boy, 16, stabbed at Canada Day celebration

A stabbing at Ashbridges Bay Park on the city's eastern lakeshore left a sour note to the Canada Day fireworks on Monday night.

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital after he was stabbed in the abdomen. Police on Tuesday reported his condition as stable.

Police say the stabbing happened at around 11 p.m. on the bicycle trail near Summerville outdoor pool. Police are looking for witnesses.
