Marc-André Saint-Amand, Kaven Deslauriers and two other officers were caught beating Vadeboncoeur on a CÉGEP de Trois-Rivières surveillance video.
The then-19-year-old Vadeboncoeur had allegedly just robbed a nearby pharmacy and was chased by police to the school, where he surrendered by lying face-down on the ground.
The surveillance video shows the officers punching the suspect in the head and elsewhere on his body after he’d surrendered.
Vadeboncoeur testified he was hit in the head and genitals.
The four officers from Trois-Rivières police force — Saint-Amand and Deslauriers, as well as Barbara Provencher and Dominic Provonost, who are on unpaid suspension — are facing seven charges including assault and obstruction of justice.
Their court date is set for Sept. 27.
