John Nuttall's Apartment Visited By Reporters (PHOTOS)

LOOK: Inside Canada Day Terror Suspects' Apartment

The landlord of the apartment where alleged Canada Day terror suspectsJohn Nuttall and Amanda Korody lived allowed reporters into the basement rental suite Wednesday.

The landlord told Global News the couple had been living in the suite for a few years. He said they always paid their rent on time and that he still could not believe the news.

Landlady Shanti Thaman told the Vancouver Sun that Nuttall and Korody received regular deliveries of methadone from the pharmacy and that "someone must be brainwashing them."

The suite was a mess, the paper noted, smelled strongly of cat urine, and two prescription methadone bottles in Korody’s name were visible.

The stench from a litterbox was the first thing that struck CBC reporter Steve Lus, who reported that the apartment was a "total pigsty."

Pictures tweeted by Steve Lus from inside the suite show empty methadone bottles in the kitchen, a Bible and a large-screen TV.
