Brody Jenner On Avril Lavigne's Wedding: 'I'm Very Happy For Them'

Brody Jenner Talks Avril Lavigne's Wedding

That is until the curly-haired met, dated and split up with Canadian pop-punk goddess Avril Lavigne, guest-starred on a little reality TV show called "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" (you may have heard of it) and got himself a new model girlfriend.

Now that Brody's back in the news, we can't stop talking about the 29-year-old, whether it's about his resentment towards absentee dad Bruce Jenner, his sexy beach body or whether he still talks to reality TV's most-loved villain, Spencer Pratt.

But the one topic we at HuffPost Canada TV can't stop wondering about is what the former "Princes of Malibu" star thinks about ex Avril Lavigne's wedding to Nickeback frontman, Chad Kroeger, which took place on Canada Day. We chatted with Brody Jenner about his thoughts on Chavril's nuptials, what he thinks about half-sister Kim Kardashian's baby name and what he knows about the alternative "The Hills" ending.

HuffPost TV: I'm Canadian and you've dated a few Canadians in the past [most notably Avril Lavigne and Jayde Nicole]...

Brody Jenner: Canadians are the best, they're the best.

So what do you think about Avril Lavigne's relationship and wedding to Chad Kroeger?

I'm very happy for them, I hope that they're very happy. Avril and I are still friends who talk, and I wish her nothing but the best and I hope it lasts. I am very happy for them. She's a great girl.

Why did you decide to go back to reality TV?

My father [Bruce Jenner] and I were getting to know each other off the camera at this stage in my life, and I wanted to reach out to him and hash out all the things people hash out, and it was right around the time when they started filming the show. [The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" producers] approached us and asked if we wanted to put it on camera and we obliged. I think it's good because if there's anybody else who watches the show and has been in our situation, I didn't mind putting it all out there to show people that it's OK to reach out, life is very short. They can see and get the courage to do the same.

Since you filmed those episodes, how has your relationship with your father changed?

Well we definitely talked about things that we normally wouldn't have, so we've learned a lot about each other, we're around each other more, it's just grown and it continues to grow every day. We understand each other more, we do more things together, he invites me to more places, more car shows, he invited me to play golf more, we opened up the lines of communication.

Are you going to be in any more episodes of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians"?

I'll film whenever they ask me to film. I enjoy filming and it's cool because I get to see that side of that family. We didn't see each other growing up, it was two separate homes. It's cool to be able to spend more time with them, so I love it. Any time they ask me I'm there.

I read something about that, but I don't know what's going on with that, can you fill me in? I've got no idea. I remember back when we filmed they said there was two different endings, but I didn't know which one they were going to go with so I don't really know if I remember what that other ending was. I'm curious, I'll have to actually watch that.

Have you seen Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's baby, North West?

I have never seen the baby. It's such a new thing, and Kim's got such a big family and a lot of friends, so I'm just waiting for the right moment. If she invites me over to see the baby then I'll gladly come over there and see her. I want to give her some time, she's probably on Cloud Nine right now, she's so happy, so I'm giving her space.

And what do you think of that name, North West?

I think it's cool. I actually knew it was that all along. Well I didn't know completely, but we had talked about it and she had mentioned that name and I said 'You know what, I like it!' I thought it was cool, it was unique.

You can watch "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" on E! on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
