Peter Kent Twitter Mistake: Environment Minister Appears To Endorse Himself

Just in case you were unsure, Peter Kent supports Peter Kent.

In a Twitter misfiring that has us questioning his ability to use Twitter, the federal environment minister appeared to tweet at himself Friday afternoon.

"So glad Peter Kent has announced his intention to run again in 2015. He is an outstanding MP for the people of Thornhill. #cdnpoli," Kent wrote in a tweet around 2:45 p.m., which he has since deleted.

Also weird? Conservative Senator Linda Frum tweeted exactly the same thing around 5 p.m.

Along with a Friday press release from Kent voicing his acceptance of and excitement at a possible demotion in the upcoming federal cabinet shuffle, we have to wonder what's going on.

Here are a few of Twitter's appropriately confused reactions.
