2 more pedestrians injured in GTA

Two more pedestrians were struck by vehicles in the GTA on Friday.

In Scarborough, a 79-year-old man was struck while crossing McCowan Road at Lawrence Avenue East.

The accident happened at about 10:45 p.m.

He was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to police.

About an hour earlier a woman was struck at the intersection of Fairview Street and Cumberland Avenue in Burlington.

She was taken to Hamilton General Hospital with head and arm injuries.
