Day three of the Calgary Stampede was full of ups and downs as great weather was overshadowed by a Canadian Forces skydiver being injured.
A spokeswoman for the Skyhawks parachute team said the skydiver landed hard on Sunday afternoon and was taken to hospital in an ambulance to be checked out but appeared to be ok.

Others prepared for spending time on the grounds on Sunday.
"This time, less booze more heart-attack inducing food," said Sara Rooseboom on Twitter.
"One last hurrah before home time," said Jane Loree.
