Suspect sought after teen groped at East Vancouver bus stop

Vancouver Police are looking for a suspect after a 15-year-old girl was attacked and groped while waiting for a bus on East 49th Avenue near Nanaimo Street around noon on Monday.

Police say the girl was approached by a man who forced her to the ground and groped her. The girl screamed and fought off her attacker who then fled on foot.

Const. Brian Montague of the VPD says they are looking for a five-foot six-inch Asian man in his 40s with a thin build. He was unshaven, spoke with an accent and wore grey cargo style shorts, a white shirt and a yellow or white hat

Police are asking anyone who has information to call the Vancouver Police Sex Crimes Unit at 604-717-0603 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
