Man sought for 6 bank robberies in Toronto, Winnipeg

A man is being sought for a series of bank robberies on the streets of Toronto as well as others that occurred in Winnipeg.

Toronto police say that a man walked into a bank in the Bay Street and College Street area on Wednesday, handed a note to the teller and demanded money.

The man then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police have identified Corey Richardson, 44, as the suspect in the robbery. They allege that he previously robbed three other banks in Toronto and two in Winnipeg.

Police say Richardson is also wanted on a Canada-wide parole warrant.

Richardson is described as a five-foot-six, black male with a medium build. Police have released a photo to the media.

It is believed that Richardson is currently in downtown Toronto. Police say he should not be approached if spotted, as he is considered armed and dangerous.
