A police cruiser followed a suspect on a bicycle onto the outdoor basketball court, near Front and Princess streets, on Tuesday night, which resulted in some of the tiles being pulled from the ground.
The tiles were part of a $22,000 upgrade to the community court that had been provided by Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment.
Volunteers from MLSE, as well as city crews and the Toronto police were all at the court Friday morning to clean up the dislodged tiles that had created a safety hazard.
Toronto police said they are willing to provide time, but not money.
In the meantime, the blue and red tiles have been swept up so local residents can go back to using the popular court.
