Duchess Of Cambridge Hospital: Madness Outside The Lindo Wing, Buckingham Palace

Royal Baby Madness In London

Royal baby fever reached an all-time high as the Duchess of Cambridge went into labour early Monday morning.

For weeks, baby-watchers, news organizations and now police officers, have stationed themselves outside the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital, where Kate Middleton is expected to give birth to the new Prince or Princess of Cambridge.

Dressed in patriotic red, white and blue, over-the-top accessories and Union Jack flags, royalists have turned the hospital into a major tourist attraction.

And despite being the hottest day of the year, thousands of royal watchers have also parked themselves outside Buckingham Palace, anxiously awaiting an official announcement of the baby's birth that's expected to be placed on an easel by the Palace gates.

The media and die-hard royal fans at the hospital and Buckingham Palace have been keeping us well informed, and if you're like us and miles away from the action, you can also tune into The Telegraph's live video feed right outside Lindo Wing or follow the #GreatKateWatch on Twitter.

In the meantime, check out the frenzy in London:
