Possible street race in Brossard ends with overturned car

An overturned Honda Civic containing four people between the ages of 15 and 19 is thought by police to have been involved in street racing.

At 2:20 a.m. Monday, police on the South Shore received a call about a flipped-over car at the intersection of Pelletier Boulevard and Panama Avenue in Brossard.

A 15-year-old suffered injuries to his lungs, hips and shoulder, while a 19-year-old suffered a minor concussion. The other two occupants weren’t injured.

The driver of the other car allegedly taking part in the race was alone and wasn’t involved in the accident.

Witnesses told police the race began at Taschereau Boulevard.
