Sun Youth is offering a $3,000 reward to anyone who can help police track down a suspect from a hit-and-run last month.

On June 21, officers said a mother in her 30s was crossing the road while pushing her 10-month-old infant in a stroller, when a car turned the corner and collided with the pair.

The incident happened on Chabanel Street, near Marché Central.

Both the mother and child survived. Police said at first the driver stopped and looked at the scene before driving away.

Officers are hoping the new reward will help speed up the investigation.

Police Const. Simon Delorme said the suspect was driving a grey Mazda, and the license plate may have started with a W.

The driver is believed to be a woman of asian or middle-eastern descent ,with black hair, and is in her 50s.

Police are asking for anyone with information to call Info-Crime at 514-393-1133.
