Infographic | The inside story of an iceberg

There are only a few places on the planet where you can easily see an iceberg floating by, and Newfoundland and Labrador happens to be one of them. Tourism ads celebrate the giants that travel each year through Iceberg Alley, visitors cherish their photographs, and even the most cynical among us are awestruck in their presence.

How much do you know about icebergs? Our thanks to Steve Bruneau, the world-renowned iceberg researcher at Memorial University, for his notes on these Arctic giants.

For more information on icebergs, consult Steve Bruneau's Icebergs of Newfoundland and Labrador. Also available is Iceberg Alley: A Journal of Nature's Most Awesome Migration, which Bruneau wrote with Kevin Redmond. Both are available from Flanker Press.
