Engineering giant SNC-Lavalin signs five-year contract with BMO Financial Group

MONTREAL - Engineering giant SNC-Lavalin (TSX:SNC) has signed a five-year contract to provide facility management services for BMO Financial Group.

The Montreal-based engineering giant said Tuesday the contract, which includes two optional one-year terms, includes servicing all of BMO's (TSX:BMO) retail branches. The bank has 1,323 facilities and close to 864,000 square metres of floor space.

SNC-Lavalin first signed a five-year contract with the bank in 2007.

"We are thrilled to continue working with BMO Financial Group, a valued client with which we have built a solid relationship," said Charlie Rate, SNC's executive vice-president.

"We are as firmly committed as ever to delivering the highest quality services to the BMO Financial Group and its clients."

Shares of SNC closed 58 cents lower at $44.01 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
