Driver seriously hurt after west Quebec head-on crash

A minivan driver was seriously injured after a head-on crash between the van and a dump truck in western Quebec.

Quebec provincial police said the crash happened at about 7 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 105 at Chemin Mahon, which is in Low, Que.

The driver of the van was taken to hospital with serious injuries while the driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries.

The crash has closed the highway in both directions.

Detours have been set up at Lac Ste-Marie and Martindale Road. Electronic signs have also been set up due to heavy damage to both vehicles.

Police have not said when the road could reopen.
