NELSON, B.C. - Police say two children playing outside their Nelson, B.C., home found far more white powder than their chalk game could generate.

Nelson police Sgt. Brian Webber says the children, aged three and six, found a small, plastic bag of cocaine on the ground.

Webber says the older child took the bag to his parent, who suspected that it was an illegal drug and brought it to police.

A test confirmed the bag contained about $100-worth of powder cocaine.

Webber says if the children had been curious and ingested the cocaine, the incident would have taken a decidedly different tone. (thenelsondaily.com)
