OLIVER, B.C. - Mounties in Oliver, B.C., have discovered you can lead a mannequin to water, but you can't make it paddle.

RCMP raced to Tuc-El-Nuit (tuckle-NOO'-it) Lake, two kilometres north of Oliver, on Wednesday after a report of a person slumped in a canoe.

When officers were able to reach the small craft they discovered a stiff — but not in the nefarious sense.

Instead, a mannequin had been loaded in the canoe and pushed out into the lake.

Two people visiting the south Okanagan lake explained they didn't mean any harm, they were simply playing practical jokes on each other.

No word if the mannequin was wearing a life jacket. (CKOR)
