The brothers refurbished a 33-year-old fibreglass boat, which hadn't been used in 10 years.
"Me and my brother [redid] it all over; changed the motor, did all the renovations," said Grant Green, the boat's captain.
"We had to put it up to standard to be able to bring it [to Rankin Inlet]."
The three boaters took the 20-day trip so they could deliver the fishing boat to its new owner, Louis Voisey of Whale Cove, Nunavut.
Voisey says even though the season is nearing at its end, he'll find a reason to get out in his new boat.
"We'll go bakeapple picking, I guess, and maybe the caribou hunt. That's about it for this year, I think."
Grant Green and his crew headed back to Chevery on Saturday.
