— Keep it simple with premade punch or combinations of fruit juices, lemonade, unfermented cider or complementary soft drinks they can use to make their own concoctions.
— Use items with as much colour as possible.
— Use colourful plastic glasses, pitchers and utensils and provide bendable straws. Make the kids' glasses easily distinguishable from adult glasses.
— Use a wide variety of kid-friendly garnishes such as fresh fruit (sliced if necessary), a variety of candies and cotton candy.
— Make sure they have their own ice bucket.
— Encourage them to give their drinks funny names.
