Leave it to Lululemon founder Chip Wilson to one-up the Vancouver fireworks finale this weekend.

The Vancouver billionaire flew in the Red Hot Chili Peppers to play a private gig for a birthday bash on Saturday.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea confirmed the band was in town, tweeting he was in the city "rocking out" to music on Sunday.

Fans sitting behind Wilson’s waterfront mansion, waiting for the fireworks to begin also enjoyed classic tunes like “Can’t Stop,” “Under The Bridge,” and “By The Way.”

Others on Twitter cracked jokes related to the company’s recent sheer pants controversy.

Retired Vancouver Canucks player Trevor Linden was also in attendance, according to The Vancouver Sun. NHL player Paul Bissonnette, also a guest, tweeted a picture of a shirtless Anthony Kiedis.

So how much does it cost to hire a band like the Red Hot Chili Peppers to play at your house? Wilson was charged a reported $1 million, according to Vancity Buzz.

But Wilson wasn't the only one receiving birthday well-wishes.

The L.A.-based band also celebrates its 30-year anniversary this year.
